IHC Collects School Supplies to Help Local Area Schools
DENVER, NC, AUGUST 21, 2017 -- This summer, Industrial Hard Carbon began an internal school supply drive to collect school supplies for local Lincoln county schools.
The unfortunate truth is that many families are struggling to set their children up for success for the new school year with more than 30 million students already enrolled in the free and reduced meal programs.. Not to mention, schools across the country facing severe budget cuts and lack of funding to purchase necessary supplies.
For the past two years, IHC has began collecting school supplies from team members to help make an impact on local area schools to set children up for a successful school year.
Education is a philanthropy the IHC team is passionate about and this year, each team member was asked to donate at least one item to the fund. However, the team went above and beyond, supplying far more than one item per person.
Industrial Hard Carbon’s Chief Executive Officer, Carrie DiMarzio says, “This is a testament of our team and who they are.”
